This unit is made in China, and Yes, it shows. However, it is literally half or less any equivalent unit from Honda/Yamaha/Honda Generator with this ability, let alone dual fuel, idle control, wide variety of outputs, etc. etc. It really does have everything. so, great value in my opinion. also I own one of the smaller DuroMax generators (4400) and was positively impressed with it after 100 hours to get the big one. both have some similar issues that do not affect
